Meet Joanna Echols

Joanna Echols is a Certified Master Coach (MA, MS, PBC), registered yoga teacher (RTY-200) and essential oils educator (dōTERRA). In addition to her coaching credentials and expertise, Joanna has a broad professional experience including over a decade of a successful management career in one of the top Fortune 500 corporations, teaching and training roles in a variety of educational systems, as well as successful roles in media, advertising, real estate, health and wellness.

You’re Not Alone!

I came to this country from Europe nearly two decades ago with just a dream and a few dollars to my name, and I worked my way up to the management level of an international Fortune 500 Company. Honestly, my corporate job was all I had desired when I came to the States.  Ask my friends, and they’ll laughingly tell you that I filled my closet with crisp white shirts and buttoned-up blazers LONG before I got my dream corporate job {even then, I knew how to live “as if!”}. 

So, here I was, managing global projects, bringing in serious money, flying business class on international work travel, and enjoying all the perks that a high-level corporate executive receives (prestige, name recognition, accolades). And I loved every minute of this lifestyle!

But I had the schedule to match the high-level job!  And while it didn’t really bother me to work 60 hours a week in my twenties to build that career, as a new mom (of twins!) in my mid-30s, I grew tired of the long hours away from my family. I quickly learned that there is no such a thing as work-life balance if you want to be good at both. There are however, work and life choices. I had to face the fact that my priorities had shifted, and what served me at one stage of my life was no longer fitting in with my new lifestyle and fulfilling my dreams.  Can you relate?  Read on . . . 

I realized that if I didn’t change something myself, I would be in the same position ten years down the road.  The thought was unbearable!  There was no way I was going to miss out on time with my family for another decade or two!  And scared as I was, I realized that NOW was the time to begin to shift my reality. 

 

I learned that success without fulfillment doesn't equal happiness!

I embarked on a personal development journey that would give me all the tools and knowledge I needed to create a lifestyle and workstyle that worked for me!

The first step was getting crystal clear on what I really wanted in life.  You need to hold a vision for your future before you can begin working toward it.  For myself, I knew that I wanted freedom to spend as much time as I wanted with my children, family and friends.  I desired to travel internationally because I love adventure and cannot get enough of exploring new places.  I wanted a fulfilling career, that gives me time and location independence and has unlimited income potential. I wanted to make a positive impact on other people's life!  I also wanted to enjoy a well-balanced, healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.  And I was more than ready to START LIVING MY LIFE MY WAY!

I've always enjoyed helping others and have been recognized for my mentoring, coaching and leadership skills.  I'm an enthusiastic problem solver, unstoppable solutions seeker and a persistent possibility thinker. I also realized that I had a unique gift of seeing other people's potential and greatness even when they couldn't see it for themselves. Finally, I've accumulated a plethora of knowledge and experience in the area of health, wellness, nutrition, mindfulness, balanced living and professional and personal fulfillment.  I knew I wanted to use my skills, experience and knowledge to make a positive impact on other people's lives.

Once I knew what I wanted, I created an execution plan and began taking steps to achieve my goals! I enrolled in a Master's Degree program in coaching and earned a Coaching Certification in Health Health and Wellness Coaching. I've also became a certified yoga teacher, essential oils educator, and completed several courses in mindfulness, meditation and positive psychology. 

I studied under the BEST mentors, and hired top coaches who could help me shape my vision into my reality. I learned that while doing it all alone is possible, it will take much longer and require a long learning curve before I could live the way I wanted. So that is why hiring my mentors and coaches was so important for me. It accelerated my journey and provided much needed support during difficult times.  I learned how to push past fears and overcome self-limiting beliefs that had kept me stuck in a less-than-ideal situation.

My transformation journey took some time, a lot of work, and a huge mindset shift, but I did it! Today, I can say that I live my life my way! And if it is possible for me, it is possible for you too!

Today I coach clients from around the world as they transform their health, get clear on their true purpose in life and create their own version of a balanced and fulfilled lifestyle.

I encourage you to take a stand for your own health, happiness and fulfillment and follow that voice inside of you that tells you that there is so much more to this life!

You can enjoy a well-balanced, healthy and happy life and always have enough time for people and things that matter most to you. I believe that each one of us is a unique human being therefore there is no one single formula for success that will work for every single one of my clients. That's why I help my clients create their own definitions of health, happiness and success that are aligned with their unique values, passions, talents and goals. 

I encourage my clients to start living their lives on their own terms. I inspire them to focus on their core values, priorities, dreams and desires instead of living their lives based on other people's expectations and ideas of success.

  • I earned a Master’s Degree in Health and Wellness Coaching (concentration in nutrition). I also have a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication and a Master’s and BA Degree in Political Science. In addition, I have a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Coaching.

  • I have an extensive coaching experience, mainly coaching women from around the World on creating well- balanced, healthy, happy and fulfilling personal and professional lives.

  • I am a Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance (This training was crucial for me to develop the knowledge about the mind-body connection, which I use extensively when I help my clients create well-balanced and more meaningful lives).

  • I am a dōTERRA essential oils educator and a business coach. I help my clients incorporate essential oils into their health and wellness practices and also support others in creating their own dōTERRA businesses.

  • I have over a decade of top-level management experience from the leading Fortune 500 corporation (with leadership roles in international business development, global operations management, project management, supply chain management, process improvement and talent development). I can easily relate to many of my clients who achieved a lot in their professional lives, but feel unfulfilled, stressed out and burnt out.

  • Plus, I have a variety of other valuable work experience (Besides over a decade of management roles in corporate America, I’ve been a nanny, a foreign language instructor, an elementary school tutor, a real estate investor, a real estate agent, ballet instructor, yoga teacher, radio show host and advertising specialist, among many other jobs).

  • I am known for my positive attitude, endless energy, and incredible passion for helping people!

  • I’m a self-proclaimed personal development junkie! I’ve read hundreds of books, attended countless workshops and seminars, and personally studied under top coaches and mentors to ensure that I bring my clients the best and most up-to-date information on achieving their dream lifestyles.

  • I am a mom of energetic twin boys. I know how it feels to be overwhelmed by a demanding 9-5 career while you try to be the best parent for your children. (I don't believe in the work-life balance, instead I teach my clients how to make career and life choices that will help them create their ideal workstyle and lifestyle.)

  • I love food! Eating food, cooking food, trying different foods, reading about food, talking about food, researching and studying food. I even often dream about food! I received an extensive training in nutrition and love helping my clients develop healthy eating habits that are based on their unique needs and preferences. I don't believe in fad diets, instead I believe in a sustainable, healthy, enjoyable and mindful way of eating that allows my clients keep their optimal weight while fueling their bodies with nourishment and energy that they need while going through life transitions.

  • I received an extensive training in mindfulness, meditation, and positive psychology and often use this knowledge to help my clients manage stress, release fears and worries and create empowering and positive mindset.

  • I’ve traveled to more than 30 countries and I love learning about different traditions and cultures. I bring an open-minded and global perspective to my coaching and love supporting ambitious women from around the world as they create fulfilling and successful personal and professional lives.
